Videocon Picks NSN for LTE

NEW DELHI -- Videocon Mobile Services, from the $4 Billion worth Videocon Group, which is amongst the fastest growing telecommunications service provider in the country, intends to rollout 4G LTE in the country. On the sidelines of the recently concluded Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, Videocon Mobile Services represented by Mr. Arvind Bali, Director & CEO, Mr. S. Krishnan, Director & Group CTO, and Mr. Illangovan G, Director & CFO, have had an in-principle agreement with Mr. Sandeep Girotra, Head of India Region, Nokia Siemens Networks, to tie up for Videocon's 4G Network Rollout.

Mr. Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Mobile Services commented, "We intend to engage Nokia Siemens Networks as our Technology partner for our 4G Network Rollout in the country. This, going forward shall address consumer requirement of enhanced data service experience including Video Chat, Mobile TV, HD TV content, digital video broadcasting etc and overhaul the existing mobile data communication in the country Nokia Siemens Network is our technology partner for 2G Network, and we are very happy with the services offered. We look forward to having a long term partnership with Nokia Siemens Network, the world leader in LTE innovation, to bring about a way forward for the next data communication revolution to the engaged consumers of the country."
