New Kontiki Boss

12:45 PM -- Eric Armstrong, once the VP of sales, media, and entertainment at VeriSign Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN), is putting himself over as the new president of Kontiki.

Kontiki is VeriSign's content delivery network that is set to be spun out into an independent business very soon, according to a Contentinople report. VeriSign acquired Kontiki a little more than two years ago, with the intent of making its CDN "the cornerstone of VeriSign's Broadband Content Services platform."

Philter spies say Armstrong was handing out business cards with his new title on them at this week's NAB 2008 show in Las Vegas, sort of hiding the secret in plain sight.
