EZchip Posts Slight Q3 Profit

YOKNEAM, Israel -- EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (NASDAQ: EZCH), a leader in Ethernet network processors, today announced its results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012.

Total revenues in the third quarter of 2012 were $9.3 million, a decrease of 50% compared to $18.7 million in the third quarter of 2011, and a decrease of 41% compared to $15.8 million in the second quarter of 2012.

Net income, on a GAAP basis, for the third quarter of 2012 was $0.1 million, or $0.00 per share (diluted), compared to net income of $7.7 million, or $0.27 per share (diluted), in the third quarter of 2011, and net income of $5.6 million, or $0.19 per share (diluted), in the second quarter of 2012.
