ATLANTA -- Movaz Networks Inc., a company developing new optical connectivity solutions for telecommunication service providers, has teamed with BFGoodrich to manufacture MEMS (micro electrical-mechanical systems) components to be used in its coming line of optical networking equipment. Under the terms of this collaboration, Movaz will have an exclusive license to the MEMS intellectual property developed under the agreement for the telecommunications and data/internet communication applications, while Goodrich retains rights to use the technology in all other fields.

“In essence, this agreement has secured for Movaz a world class MEMS manufacturing facility without us having to directly manage the facility. Movaz will have a continued supply of high-quality MEMS components for its optical product lines to be made generally available this year,” said Bijan Khosravi, CEO of Movaz Networks.
