WATERVLIET, N.Y. -- Molecular OptoElectronics Corporation (MOEC), a leading manufacturer of Electronic Variable Optical Attenuators (EVOAs) for fiber optic systems, today announced the availability of two new additions to its award-winning Shadow® EVOA line, the ShadowÒ L-Band EVOA and the ShadowÒ High Power EVOA. These products will allow system designers to effectively control signal power in optical networking systems.

The Shadow L-Band EVOA meets the demands of DWDM system designers who wish to expand channel capacity by extending their capabilities into the longer wavelengths of the L-band. In addition to the industry-leading insertion loss, low backreflection and high dynamic range of the other Shadow series EVOAs, the L-band product offers low wavelength dependence throughout the 1570-1604 nm range.
