6:00 PM I brought my own device so you don't have to! Taking in the sights at MobileCON 2012 in San Diego
6:00 PM -- Hey, I survived the latest CTIA fall show and all I got to show for it were these lousy bags under my eyes!
In truth, there wasn't a whole lot of 4G news out of this show, even though the Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) and Verizon Wireless Long Term Evolution (LTE) updates led the way. (See MobileCON 2012: Verizon Beats 2012 4G Target and MobileCON 2012: Sprint Gets a 4G Tablet & More NFC.)
I tended to see the updates as marking lines on the door-frame that we can measure each carrier's 4G growth against at the end of next quarter. Surely, that will give Sprint enough time to hit its 100-market LTE target. (See 2013: Richer Services on 4G?) Still, click below for images of Chinese stautes, muffins and the huge Samsung Corp. Galaxy Note II: The device that is surely the muffin top of the mobile world, anyway.
