The service, available first as a downloadable app, replaces the native SMS/MMS messaging app on Android with a single application that enables mobile subscribers to video chat, instant message, group message, share large photos and videos while still being able to SMS and MMS with users that do not have the service. On the iPhone, subscribers are able to download a compatible RCS application.
