AirPair solution deployed through Wireless Distribution gives Televersa Online a self-healing mesh backbone

OTTAWA -- DragonWave Inc, a leading global supplier of next-generation wireless networks, today announced that Wireless Distribution has initiated deployment of an AirPair mesh backbone for Televersa Online's WiMAX network which will provide broad coverage throughout South-East Germany. Televersa Online, a subsidiary of Televersa, will be providing access in rural areas, with coverage of 20,000 square kilometers to a population over 2.5 million.

Televersa Online will use DragonWave's AirPair as the backbone for their WiMAX access network, providing broadband wireless access. AirPair provides interference-free, broadband connectivity in the licensed bands. AirPair provides carrier-grade service levels through 50 ms mesh switching and best in-class latency. In addition, AirPair provides Televersa Online with an ability to remotely scale capacity via software from 10 Mbps to 500 Mbps.
