Mexican operator is using SpiderCloud's dual-mode small cells for in-building coverage for its government, education and business customers.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc., the leading provider of scalable small cell Enterprise Radio Access Network (E-RAN) systems, today announced that Telcel, the leading provider of mobile communications in Mexico, has turned on scalable small cell systems for in-building coverage and capacity for its largest government, education and business customers in Mexico, following a successful launch in June 2014 with SpiderCloud.

SpiderCloud’s system includes a Services Node (SCSN) that controls up to 100 self-organizing, dual-band 3G + 4G and 4G + 4G small cells, providing up to 200 sectors of mobile coverage and capacity. The simple-to-install system over Ethernet provides reliable in-building services for enterprise and venues of up to 1.5 million square feet. A system can be installed in just days using an enterprise Local Area Network (LAN). The largest Telcel installation consists of 67 Radio Nodes and one Services Node. SpiderCloud’s business partners for América Móvil include Cisco and NEC.
