ALVISO, Calif. -- TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO), a leader in the advanced television entertainment market, today announced details of the latest features coming to their next-generation TV offering with Virgin Media, enabling Virgin Media subscribers to enjoy the TiVo® experience delivered from the cloud on devices beyond the living room through a new service called 'Virgin TV Anywhere'.

Building on the success of Virgin Media's TiVo service, which has been deployed to more than one million subscribers since its launch in December 2010, the two companies are now expanding the capabilities of this leading connected TV service offering by introducing a cloud-based TiVo experience that will give subscribers access to live program viewing online, and on tablet and mobile phone devices through a free downloadable iOS* app. Additionally, consumers will have the ability to remotely manage their favorite shows and interface directly with their TVs through these devices.

Cindy Rose, Executive Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media, said, "Our subscribers are increasingly looking to access their favorite digital entertainment across multiple screens both in the home and on the go. Our partnership with TiVo has always been about much more than just delivering the industry's best in-home hybrid television experience to our subscribers, but also leveraging TiVo's pioneering technology to deliver exciting new products to bring customers a compelling entertainment experience to enjoy whenever they want, wherever they are."

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
