Ah, the holiday season is upon us again. It's a time for family, togetherness, stuffing yourself silly, and palming off your old crap on unsuspecting relatives and friends.

Yes, indeed, the endless turnover of hot mobile trends and devices goes hand in haptic glove with the idea of regifting used stuff as a new present for some poor sucker.

Click the image below to see 10 of our favorite regifting ideas.

Hey, that was my gift of choice this year! Trying to get the family moving. They seemed excited, but we'll see how long that lasts for. Maybe it'll be their re-gift of choice next year.

The one design flaw with the wi-fi hat is ... the wearer can't see when the signal beacon is activated. So you have to do a pretend selfie to see if your hat is lit. Or carry around a mirror. Now if it were a wristband...

Could've used that for Christmas, since I dropped and shattered my iPhone! That's why it's always good to keep old phones around (sorry, environment!). They make the perfect gift when you're locked in a contract and without a phone. I bet some people would even be happy with that old Kin!

Haptic gloves
I know this will comes as a surprise, but I'm not much of a Hello Kitty guy. Do they have haptic gloves with sports themes--maybe Chicago Bulls red and black with Michael Jordan's No. 23? Or (nerd alert) maybe a Green Lantern theme, with a graphic of the Lantern's ring on one of the fingers?

Re: Haptic gloves
Couldn't find them, suspect they must be out there. How about these "Streets of New York" gloves?

Nope, not even a regifted Playbook. My boyfriend would've loved a new qwerty BlackBerry though. He's among the few faithful still left.

We should interview him - he could be one of the remaining few... or is there hope of some sort of recovery? A resurgence of support?

Re: Did anyone get a Blackberry for Xmas?
I've been wondering actually, so many people signed up for BlackBerry Messanger on other plaforms. A really cheap device that would use BBM as the IP comms portal. Probably too late to stem the tide now...

Re: Did anyone get a Blackberry for Xmas?
BBM is one of the areas Chen outlined in a recent note on how he's helped the company so far. BGR tore the note apart in an amusing blog post: http://bgr.com/2013/12/30/blackberry-ceo-compensation-john-chen-letter/

I was chatting with another friend, who is a consultant, about BlackBerry and he said he sees a lot of executives and employees at the companies he goes to that refuse to give up their BlackBerrys. Even if their company no longer supplies them, they'll buy their own or use an older model. It may be a small group, but there definitely is one.
