FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Interop Technologies, a provider of innovative, virtualized IP networks and next-generation communication solutions, today announced that Union Wireless, headquartered in Mountain View, Wyoming, has selected the Interop Technologies CorePlusXSM VoWiFi solution to offer WiFi calling service to subscribers throughout Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah.

Interop’s cloud-based solution, which supports native and downloadable WiFi calling clients on the latest Apple and Android devices, enables Union Wireless subscribers to make voice calls and send text messages across any available WiFi network.

“When evaluating VoWiFi options, Interop’s cloud-based solution was the clear choice,” said Eric Woody, CTO, Union Wireless. “Not only will we be able to quickly and cost effectively bring WiFi calling to our market, but we’ll also be establishing a seamless path to IMS and VoLTE, thanks to the layered architecture of the CorePlusXSM product suite.”

“Enabling operators to meet the immediate demand for VoWiFi while simultaneously planning for future needs is a true point of differentiation for CorePlusXSM,” said Ray Vinson, Product Manager, Interop Technologies. “Our standards-based CorePlusXSM suite is a complete, end-to-end solution that supports operators in quickly rolling out the services that meet their current market demands while laying the foundation for additional next-generation communication services.”
