The Bridge Alliance, a partnership of 36 mobile operators from Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, has appointed Eileen Tan as its new CEO.

SINGAPORE -- Bridge Alliance announces the appointment of Ms. Eileen Tan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2015. Ms. Tan has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and was most recently Director in Business Planning, Strategy and Alliance Partnerships, International Group at Singtel before her appointment with Bridge Alliance.

“As the alliance continues to develop, the Board and I are confident that Eileen is the right person to lead the business forward,” said Mr. Mark Chong, Chairman of the Bridge Alliance Board of Directors. “Eileen is a proven leader with strategic business vision and the ability to spearhead various mobility services needed for the alliance. We believe that her strengths and understanding of the telco industry will help Bridge Alliance achieve new growth.”

Ms. Tan takes the reins from Mr. Alessandro Adriani, whose leadership saw Bridge Alliance expand from 11 to 36 telecom operator members over the past three years.

“On behalf of the Board, I thank Alessandro for his contribution to Bridge Alliance. Alessandro has been instrumental in helping the alliance expand and worked on some collaborative projects,” said Mr. Chong.

CEO Bridge Alliance
As CEO of Bridge Alliance, Ms. Tan will be responsible for strengthening the business as it continues to grow regionally and globally. With the increasing demand for M2M, enterprise mobility and cost effective roaming services, she will play a key role in developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of customers in the alliance footprint.

Ms. Tan served 15 years with Singtel in various roles. In her latest capacity as Director, Business Planning, Strategy and Alliance Partnerships, International Group at Singtel, she drove the transformation strategy and business plan to enhance engagement and support to Singtel associates.

Ms. Tan is a member of the Singtel Regional Leadership Program. She holds a Master’s degree in Infocommunications from The University of Adelaide Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electronic Engineering from University of Manchester. She was awarded the Singtel scholarship and British Council scholarship.
