12:15 PM -- Everyone wants to be first at something, right?

Well, the Big Nord, Telia Company , wants to be the first service provider to offer commercial high-speed wireless data services using the so-called 4G technology Long-Term Evolution (LTE), so it's already building LTE networks in Stockholm and Oslo with a view to offering services next year. It doesn't come as any great surprise that these services will likely make their European debut in the Northern territories, as pretty much every ground-breaking telecom service usually appears first (in a meaningful commercial offering) in either Finland, Sweden, or Norway before drifting south into the larger markets of Germany, France, the U.K., Spain, and Italy (in no particular order).

That trend might be broken when it comes to 3D high-definition IPTV services, but I wouldn't bet on it.
