Re: Huawei on the ready?
I don't have information on whether or not this rumor is true - though Simon Leopold is well respected.

On the Huawei supplier possibility though, I can say with some confidence that this is not happening at Verizon, AT&T, or at other U.S. tier 1s or even tier 2s any time soon. Given the government position on Huawei in the U.S., the risks for these operators are too high.

Huawei seems to have a very long term strategy for the U.S. though and continues to push - so I can't say never. Also, Huawei is a big supporter of ONOS, and so is AT&T, so I suspect that Huawei's ONOS influence is part of its long term U.S. strategy. For years, standards body leadership has been part of its overall strategy to gain market share.

Huawei on the ready?
They would love a 2nd supplier shot and would slice about four zero's off the selling price.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
