Who *is* going to pay for the networked home? That's going to be a key question.
I can see it being analogous to stereo gear, where some experts will buy the best of each component and thrill in wiring it up themselves. Heck, that's how the networked home is today.
But if service providers want wider adoption, I think they might have to do more of the work (and foot more of the bill) themselves.
Or maybe I'm just projecting my own lazy, cheapskate habits on the rest of the market.
