Applications such as YouTube and Facebook are creating ever more unpredictable stresses on the network, but how are the equipment providers responding? Bob Metcalfe on the Terabit Ethernet

The inventor of Ethernet, Bob Metcalfe, will be the keynote speaker at OFC/NFOEC, where he will tackle the subject of the future of Ethernet, which he is calling Terabit Ethernet. Check out Metcalfe's predictions on timeframe and the technology it will take to get us there.

While cleaning out our video cupboard we found this bit of tape from TelcoTV 2007, a quiz game we played with some good-natured exhibitors on the show floor. Nothing particularly revealing here, unless you find it surprising that industry folk know their sandwiches from their video products
