Frank Meywerk, Executive Vice President RAN Planning & Deployment, T-Mobile Germany
Frank Meywerk joined T-Mobile in 2004. Previously, Frank was holding management functions within the Mobile Communications Networks branch of Siemens AG, as Manager of the Network Design & Optimization Headquarters department and as Head of the Professional Services Division. Within T-Mobile Germany, he heads the RAN Planning & Deployment Division, which is accountable for the planning, optimization, and deployment of the radio network as well as the respective backhaul network. For the T-Mobile European five core countries, Frank is responsible for the RAN Build Division comprising Rollout Management, RAN Deployment and Access & Transmission.

Roberto Micali, Senior Network Engineer, Telecom Italia Lab
Roberto Micali received his doctors degree in Computer Science from Mathematical, Physical and Natural Science University, Turin (Italy) in 1990. Since 1991 he has been working in Telecom Italia Lab - TILAB (formerly CSELT, Centro Studi E Laboratori Telecomunicazioni), the Research and Development Center of Telecom Italia based in Turin. He has been involved in qualification and testing of data service equipment, such as Frame Relay, ATM, SNA/SDLC, X.25, ADSL and IP. In 2006 he has supported the development of NGN architecture in Indonesia for Telkom Indonesia. In January 2004 he received his second doctors degree in Theater and Performing Arts.

Robert Bell, Business Development Manager, Wireless Backhaul, RAD Data Communications
Robert Bell has 11 years of experience in telecommunications in technical and product management roles and has recently advanced to the position of business development manager at RAD Data Communications responsible for wireless backhaul solutions. In his role as senior product manager, Roberts focus has been on defining and delivering solutions that improve the efficiency of existing 2G/3G transport networks, and accelerate 3.5G/4G penetration using the latest transport technologies. He has recently been directly involved in a number of major pioneering PWE3-based HSDPA backhaul projects. Robert holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Tel-Aviv University and an MBA from the Technion Institute of Technology.

Stefan Danielsson, Director Network Solutions, Ericsson
Mr. Danielsson has over 20 years experience in the transmission and transport networks industry. He has been with Ericsson since 1985 and is currently responsible for technical guidance, recommendations, and support for the Business Unit Networks solutions and products. In his position, he frequently meets with operators on a global basis for discussions on mobile backhaul network evolution strategies. Throughout his career with Ericsson, Mr Danielssson has been active in design, product management, sales, and strategy planning for both wireless and optical transmission solutions. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

Ioannis Dravopoulos, Senior Product Manager, Wireless Systems, INTRACOM TELECOM
Ioannis Dravopoulos joined Intracom Group of Companies in 1995 after gaining a M.Sc. in Telecommunications and Information Systems at the University of Essex, U.K. His work includes Research on Broadband Wireless Access systems and networks, concerned with designing a Data Layer Control for Hiperlan-2 based systems. He was involved in a number of ACTS projects, such as the Magic Wand, Prisma, and Adamas. In 2001 he joined Conklin Corporation, where he was involved as a Senior Product Manager in the area of DSL access. He currently works in Intracom Telecoms Telecommunication Systems department as a Senior Product Manager in Broadband Wireless Access systems.

Dr. Shahar Gorodeisky, CTO & Vice President Marketing, Celtro
Dr. Shahar Gorodeisky brings to Celtro more than 10 years experience in management, marketing, and R&D in hi-tech. Prior to joining Celtro, Shahar was President and COO of Memlink, an optical communications company, after serving first as VP Marketing and Product Management. Shahar served several years at Tadiran Telecom and ECI, initially as an R&D Director and then as an Associate Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. Shahar holds a Ph.D. in physics and an MSc in applied physics from the Weizman Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel and a BSc in physics and computer science from Tel Aviv University.

Matz Hedman, Senior Application Specialist, Tellabs
Matz Hedman started his career working for Scandinavian telecom operators, both on the fixed/data and mobile side. After successfully taking efficient 2G/2.5G RAN backhauling from conception to countrywide deployment, he joined Tellabs in 1995 with the initial responsibility of replicating these ideas in other mobile networks. Today this solution is deployed in more than 150 networks worldwide. In the field of mobile evolution, Matz has continued to play a key role in developing Tellabs IntegratedMobileSM Solution strategy to help operators scale their networks for mobile broadband services and to prepare for the all IP RAN.

Raul Hernandez, Solutions Marketing, Access Division, Alcatel-Lucent
Raul is a member of the Solutions Marketing team in the Access Division of Alcatel-Lucent, with access solutions for mobile traffic backhaul being one his areas of activity. He conducts opportunity assessment, solution definition, and strategic marketing for end-to-end Alcatel-Lucent solutions involving the access portfolio. Previously, he worked on access network architectures for triple play services as a member of the European Network Architecture and Technology Strategy team at Lucent Technologies. He worked closely with major service providers to define the architecture for the delivery of IPTV services over DSL. He holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and a Licenciatura in Physics.

Giles Heron, Director, Data Networks Consulting, Tellabs
Giles Heron is Director of Data Network Consulting at Tellabs. His current focus is on deploying MPLS-based networks for mobile carriers. He was previously network architect for PacketExchange, a start-up carrier offering Ethernet services over a pan-European MPLS backbone - and the first carrier to have deployed Ethernet over MPLS. Prior to co-founding PacketExchange, Heron was a member of the global network architecture team at Level 3 communications. Heron is an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and has contributed to various RFCs and Internet drafts in the PWE3 and L2VPN working groups - including the "draft-martini" specifications for emulating layer 2 services over MPLS.

Rudy Hoebeke, Director of Product Management, Alcatel-Lucent, IP Division (IPD) in EMEA & LAM
Rudy has over 10 years of experience in networking and data communications. He joined Alcatel in 1995 to take R&D and product management responsibilities in xDSL and Passive Optical Network access technologies. He then moved into the role of IP strategy and product manager for Alcatel's IP/MPLS Service Router and Ethernet Services Switch products focused on the Multi-Service Edge (MSE), Triple Play, and Mobile core and RAN market segments. In 2005, he accepted his current role as Director of Product Management for the entire IPD product portfolio within the EMEA and LAM regions.
Rudy holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brussels (VUB) and a Masters in Business Administration from the Vlerick Leuven-Gent Business School.

Bjorn Krylander, CEO, Cambridge Broadband Networks
Björn Krylander joined Cambridge Broadband Networks in January 2006, from UbiNetics where he was CEO for five years until its successful sale in 2005. At UbiNetics Björn successfully redirected its strategy away from consumer products to focus on Test and IP. Prior to working at UbiNetics, Björn held a variety of positions at Ericsson Inc., including Vice President TDMA and CDMA Mobile Phones in the U.S. and culminating as Vice President and General Manager of the companys Home Communications Business Unit. Björn holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering from Lund University, and brings expertise in both the mobile cellular and broadband access markets.

Richard Lan, General Engineer of IP Product Line in Europe, Huawei Technologies
Richard joined Huawei Technologies eight years ago. He was one of the major system engineers of the router product line, switch product line, and media gateway product line. Richard holds six patents in the IP/Ethernet field. After successfully launching many IP products, he transferred to the marketing and sales department in 2003. Richard has completed many transformation-to-ALL-IP projects of Tier 1 carriers in Asia and Europe.

Mark A. McDonald, Vice President of Product Management, Ceterus Networks
Mark A. McDonald, Vice President of Product Management for Ceterus Networks, is responsible for product management, marketing and customer support. Most recently, McDonald was vice president and general manager of the wireline product group for ADC Telecommunications Corporation and prior to that served as the vice president of marketing and product management for the wireless and wireline systems division. In his 26-year career McDonald has had the opportunity to participate in numerous technology roll-outs in the access and transmission portions of the network. Recently he has been focusing on metro-Ethernet technology for Enterprise Ethernet and cell site backhaul applications.

Matt Squire, Chief Technology Officer, Hatteras Networks
A recognized expert on Ethernet, MPLS, IP, ATM, private networking and VOIP, Matt holds nine patents and has more than 15 in the pipeline, many in the areas of efficient and reliable emulation of LAN services, VPNs, VOIP, and simplified configuration and provisioning systems. He was a founder and chief architect at WindWire, chairs the IEEE 802.3ah OAM work group, and is the editor of the Metro Ethernet Forums OAM document. Matt is active in the T1/E1.4 and IETF. He holds a doctor of philosophy degree in computer science from North Carolina State University and a bachelor's of arts degree in mathematics and computer science from Swarthmore College.

Jeremy Steventon-Barnes, Director of Strategic Solutions, Tellabs
Jeremy Steventon-Barnes is responsible for Solutions Development at Tellabs EMEA. With over 15 years experience in packet networks, Jeremy has played leading roles developing and operating innovative packet-based services for providers including Level 3, Cable & Wireless, Concert, and BT in markets around the globe. Jeremy holds a BSc in Physics from Durham University, an MSc in Telecoms Engineering from London University, and an MBA with Distinction from London Business School. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer, and a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinerys Special Interest Group on Data Communication.
