He is the former Editor in Chief for the print, Web, and video content of Telecom 99, the International Telecommunication Union's quadrennial conference in Geneva. He previously worked for Network World, Information Week, Internet Week, Communications Week, and Communications Week International.
Mary Jander, Site Editor, Byte and Switch
Prior to joining Byte and Switch, Mary was a longtime Senior Editor of Light Reading. She has spent 22 years reporting and writing on information technology and networking, including nine years on the senior editorial team of Data Communications magazine. She is co-author of Foundations of Service Level Management (Macmillan Sams, 2000).
Robert Lerner: Senior Analyst
Robert joins Heavy Reading from Current Analysis, where he served for nearly seven years as a data management analyst. He has a wide range of experience covering the competitive landscape for such markets as data storage and management, business intelligence, content management, and enterprise portals, and has tracked significant developments in the evolution and emergence of these technologies. Prior to his tenure at Current Analysis, he taught at the University of Nevada/Reno. Robert has published a number of articles, is highly sought after as a speaker, and has been quoted in a variety of magazines and newspapers. He holds an Masters degree from the University of Nevada/Reno.
Greg Schulz, Founder & Senior Analyst, StorageIO
Greg Schulz is founder and senior analyst with the IT infrastructure analyst and consulting firm StorageIO. A 25-year IT veteran, Greg has worked as an IT customer, vendor, author, and industry analyst. He has worked with applications, servers, databases, networks, storage, DR/BC, performance and capacity planning, and associated management tools in IBM Mainframe, OpenVMS, Unix, Windows, and other environments. Greg is also the author and illustrator of Resilient Storage Networks (Elsevier, 2004). Greg holds a degree in computer science and a Masters in software engineering from the University of St. Thomas.

Jon William Toigo, Managing Partner, Toigo Partners International, and Chairman, Data Management Institute
Toigo Partners International is an independent consultancy and information technology research and analysis firm focused on providing meaningful guidance to IT consumers and decision makers. The Data Management Institute is a professional development organization Toigo founded for those who design, plan, manage, and administer storage infrastructure and data assets. Anil Vasudeva, Founder & President, IMEX Research & Consulting
IMEX is a technology markets research company specializing in next-generation computing infrastructure, network storage, networking, and end-to-end Internet technologies. Vasudeva is a 25-year veteran of the computer industry who previously served in engineering and marketing positions at Fujitsu, Destiny Technology, Ricoh, Amdahl, BusLogic/Mylex, and Memorex/Burroughs. He has authored marketing reports on networked storage, I/O architectures and emerging IP markets, clustering, high-availability in telecom and enterprise computing, and Internet traffic management technologies, and he has provided business and product planning to several startup companies. Vasudeva has an MSEE from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara.
