Community Outreach

For Ethernet Expo 2009, Light Reading will be doing our part to help the environment and community by:

• Reducing conference print materials and providing information on-site via USB and computer download. Additionally, conference materials will be emailed to event attendees post-event.
• Using recycled pens and lanyards. Not only are your lanyards made of biocompostable materials, but also we’ll be collecting them post event to donate to local schools to use in the classroom. Additionally, badges will be paper -- no need for the wasteful plastic badge holders!
• Making recycling bins available on-site. Let us know if you’d like to do your part and sponsor these!
• Working closely with Champion Expo Services. We’ll be producing all of our signage from recyclable materials and making sure all expo carpeting is reused whenever possible.
• Giving away our leftovers. Remember all of the leftover food last year? That won't happen. The Hilton New York will be donating all leftovers to City Harvest. Waste no more!
