NEWARK, Calif. -- LightLogic, Inc. announced today that it haslaunched and begun shipping DragonFly TranspondersTM, LightLogic’ssecond-generation family of 10 Gb/s optical-electrical sub-systems thatsimplify the design of high-speed network equipment. The new transpondersincorporate low cost optics manufactured with LightLogic’s proprietary,automated packaging and alignment process, and several advanced electricalfeatures. DragonFly Transponders will be demonstrated at the Optical FiberConvention (OFC) in Anaheim, California March 19-21, interoperating withLightLogic’s cutting-edge 200-pin transponder prototype.

“New features, improved performance and better manufacturability seen in theDragonFly Transponders result from direction we received delivering ourfirst generation product to a broad customer base,” said John McGraw, CEO ofLightLogic. “In addition, bringing our automated optics manufacturing plantonline will yield tremendous cost and capacity advantages.”
