SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- LIGHTech Fiberoptics, Inc, the premier, quality source for optical switching components, variable optical attenuators, integrated optical modules and test equipment, announces the OpticalPatch Switch. The LT1600 Series 16/32 Port OpticalPatch Switch provides transparent optical (OOO ) routing connections for companies to utilize in Fiber Channel, Gigabit Ethernet and up to 40 Gbits/s Network environments. The OpticalPatch Switch provides the capability to automatically switch test configurations in these operating environments without the bandwidth and bit error rate limitations inherent in optical-electrical-optical conversions. The OpticalPatch Switch provides a convenient and simple way for the network engineers to remotely manage the complicated switching issues that previously required a time-consuming manual process. LIGHTech's OpticalPatch Switch permits operation over a temperature range from 0-50º C. Single-mode and multi-mode wavelengths are available. The OpticalPatch Switch is equipped with local control via a front panel keypad and remote control via RS232 or GPIB interfaces. A LabVIEW driver is provided. The OpticalPatch is designed for use in fiber channel monitoring, remote network testing, production testing, and to facilitate the multiple requirements of complex Interoperability Testing Laboratories. A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
