HANOVER, Germany -- KEYMILE, a leading manufacturer and supplier of next-generation access systems with integrated network management is presenting the latest addition to its MileGate Multi-Service IP DSLAM product family for the first time at CeBIT. MileGate 2010 is a compact IP-DSLAM which permits the optical linking of buildings (FTTB) for theprovision of VDSL2 connections at the highest bandwidth.

Using a highly efficient DSL transmission process (Profile 30A), 8 high-speed VDSL2 connections permit more than 100 Mbit/s per subscriber connection. The result is that bandwidths are achieved which are comparable to those of optical connections while using existing building cabling. As a consequence of the high bandwidths, network operators can offer their private and business subscribers lucrative broadband services such as video-on-demand, online-gaming, video conferencing, broadband-LAN coupling and VPN access. At the same time, KEYMILE is introducing an extension of the platform by an optical Ethernet connection unit for the provision of optical 100 Mbit/s connections (FTTH).

With its compact design and flexibility of housing construction, the MileGate family supports a wide variety of network architectures. Apart from installations at exchange locations, these are FTTN (Fibre-to-the-Node), FTTB (Fibre-to-the-Building) and FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home), with which MileGate implements services featuring more than 100 Mbit/s.

"With MileGate 2010, the network operator has the possibility of setting himself apart from the competition with extremely high-bandwidth services", says Bruno Ette, CSO of the KEYMILE Group.
