J:COM Reports April Sub Gains

TOKYO -- Jupiter Telecommunications Co., Ltd. (J:COM, JASDAQ: 4817), the largest multiple system operator (MSO) in Japan based on the number of customers served, has announced that the total subscribing households*1 as of April 30, 2013 served by J:COM’s 11 consolidated subsidiaries*2 reached 3.76 million, up 97,200 or 2.7% from April 30, 2012.

Combined revenue generating units (RGUs) for cable television, high speed Internet access and telephony services reached 7.67 million, up 399,700 or 5.5% from April 30, 2012. The bundle ratio*3 increased to 2.04 as of April 30, 2013 from 1.98 as of April 30, 2012.
