Intune, the global leader in delivering turn-key solutions requiring fast optical switching, is announcing the appointment of Tim Fritzley as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Tim has been at the forefront of many new and innovative networking and service developments over his career while working at GTE, Tellabs, and most recently as the VP of Global Sales and Solutions at Microsoft TV. Tim successfully created and launched the IPTVE program, ecosystem, and partners to carriers around the world. Tim’s experience in network operations, network equipment development, and IPTV service platform creation and deployment gives him a broad and detailed perspective on the problems and issues the carriers are still facing in deploying and operating scaled IP networks for the delivery of converged voice, video and data services.

The Intune team has a proven 10 year track record of innovation in developing and delivering complete solutions requiring fast optical switching of a single laser and is a market leader in providing key technology and products for a variety of applications to global markets. In Tim’s own words: “There is a large need for innovation in developing a next generation of optical networking products and solutions for the switching and transport of converged services by carriers, enterprises and leading network equipment vendors. The current build-out and deployment of managed IP networks is running into larger than expected cost and complexity issues as well as creating severe network operations and management challenges for existing systems and processes. Intune’s proven ability to tune a single laser across hundreds of wavelengths at nanosecond switching speeds will enable the development of the next generation of network equipment.”

Tim has relocated to Dublin, Ireland where Intune’s Corporate headquarters and R&D center is located, and will be growing and developing the Intune team in Ireland and at select locations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
