Huawei Unveils New FTTH Product

February 20, 2013 |
LONDON -- Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced that its new FTTH solution will debut at the decennial exhibition of the European FTTH Conference, which is to be held in London from February 20 to February 21, 2013. This solution is aimed at providing intelligent ultra-broadband access, improving overall network efficiency and user experience.

During the conference, Huawei will exhibit the latest breakthroughs it has made in developing the SingleFAN FTTx solution. Among these breakthroughs are the fibre to the door (FTTD) Gigabit access solution, which reuses the existing copper resources; the FTTH home device interconnection solution, which uses the intelligent optical network terminal (ONT); the fibre to the mobile base station (FTTM) solution, which is oriented toward LTE and Wifi; the fibre to the office (FTTO) full-service access solution, which is oriented toward ICT; the embedded optical time domain reflectometer (eOTDR), which achieved an industry-leading split ratio of 1:64 during optical fibre tests; and the intelligent optical distribution network (iODN), which achieves real-time management and scheduling.
