Operators are constantly faced with the need to balance these demands of their customers with the prospect of a significant capital investment cost, high evolution risk, long TTM (time to market) and the potential of deteriorated customer experience during the network evolution process. By employing the Huawei Consulting and SI (System Integration) service model operators can eliminate these concerns with a predictable and verifiable solution plan and a proven management consultancy process. The Establishment of GNEEC
Huawei not only has a strong portfolio of product and service solutions but a highly experienced team of international recognized support experts who are equipped with the latest automatic tools and test equipment. But it takes a great deal more to ensure a successful field deployment for this network evolution. A critical requirement is a professional verification environment capable of accurately predicting, developing and testing current and future network requirements including all the integrated solutions related to the evolution processes. The main function of this facility is to reduce evolution risks and improve implementation efficiency while ensuring customer satisfaction.
In order to address this need, Huawei has established their a Global Network Evolution and Experience Center (GNEEC) in Beijing. This state of the art facility covers an area of 1,500 square meters and is equipped with an array of multi-generation E2E network systems with more than 200 sets of equipment supplied by eight mainstream vendors specialized in all domains of the network infrastructure. Multi-vendor interoperability tests can be performed on over 30 kinds of network evolution plans, while independent testing and professional services areas can be configured to ensure that the GNEEC can simulate and support all the major network evolution deployed in today's global markets.

iPredictable Evolution
Huawei can provide an operator specific network evolution plan through our consultation and system integration services based on the customers strategic business plans and requirements. This allows the GNEEC to accurately plan each phase of the evolution process, analyze subscribers' behaviors, traffic volume, and services carried over the network during the implementation process. This information is further enhanced by the inclusion of rich in-depth ROI analysis reports to ensure accurate simulations involving network construction models (for example, the traditional network construction model and on-demand integration model). Armed with this measurable and predictable insight, Huawei can guide operators in the selection of the best possible evolution plan based on their current business model.
Verifiable Solution
The GNEEC can readily verify the proposed solutions for more than 30 evolution plans with a Proof of Concept (POC) capability. This POC is a single-node confirmation process that ensures system compatibility from an E2E perspective and can validate the accuracy of the integration plan while mitigating the risks of service impacting issues during the latter implementation phases.
Manageable Process
Huawei understands that each operator faces unique challenges so any network evolution processes proposed needs to address specific customization requirements. The Huawei GNEEC is capable of developing a highly customized migration strategy that includes detailed handover steps for each phase of the evolution plan. To determine the advantages and drawbacks for the various migration strategies for an operator's IP bearer network, the GNEEC first simulated the current network then compared the individual POP migration strategy with the post-construction migration model. Based on the results of this simulation the GNEEC identified five potential handover scenarios. Each of these scenarios was then individually simulated in the GNEEC facility to determine the best possible implementation option. An added benefit is that this process can also accurately provide a recommended inventory of tools and applications required to support the field activities. This exercise been proven to increase migration efficiency and reduce TTM for the services by at least 30% to 50%.
Assurable Service
The GNEEC can accurately simulate and address both fixed and mobile network service migrations. The network evolution simulation uses a Huawei analysis platform to monitor the real-time service quality changes across the various network domains during each phase of the implementation. By analyzing these changes in service quality along different network domains the GNEEC can determine the critical point of change for each phase of the implementation to ensure maximize service coverage is provided while improving the user experience during the real network evolution deployment. Furthermore, the GNEEC will also develop a highly optimized fault locating process, baseline database, and management platform for quick and easy troubleshooting while assuring end users with excellent network experience in the latter project phases.
The GNEEC has the capacity to support the simulation of up to 2,000 nodes and the interconnection between 300 links using a cloud platform.. By leveraging the GNEEC's strong research capabilities, operators can realize a 5% to 10% saving on their investments on their network evolution costs while maintaining an average growth rate increase between 10% to 20%.
