5:00 AM -- Leave it to journalists to find new ways to state the obvious (hey, we all have deadlines).

I just came across a good example, in an article called "Bloggers Beware," which I found at the Morris County dailyrecord.com.Here's the premise of the article:

Wow! No kidding... You mean I can't just write, "The CEO OF MY COMPANY SUCKS WORSE THAN BERNIE EBBERS AND IS A LYING THIEVING DRUNK BASTARD," and not expect some sort of retribution -- say, like losing my job?

Also, what's up with the article on blogging for the reader base of Morris County, New Jersey? I didn't realize that Morris County was such a hotbed for profligate corporate bloggers. This lends more evidence to the idea that this whole blogging thing has gone overboard.

But, hey, the article's got some more insightful advice that you would otherwise have to pay for. Take this quote from labor lawyer Gregg Lemley of St. Louis, who warns of using the public domain to vent about people:

Damn, you mean this Internet thing is actually published? And I was just mixing up a few cocktails so I could fire up my "The most annoying things about all of my neighbors and coworkers" blog.
