MELBOURNE, Australia -- Haliplex Communication Systems (Haliplex), Australia’s leading manufacturer of optical network access platforms, releases today the SDH/SONET daughter card (SDC) module for its leading Optical Access Multiplexor, the HPX-300, at Networld+Interop being held at Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (March 7-9). Haliplex can be found on stand number 154.

“The HPX-300 is an existing platform performing a wide range of functions for telecommunications carriers,” said Alan Kepper, Haliplex CEO. “Our product is currently being deployed by carriers in Singapore, Thailand, The Middle East and Australia.”

Haliplex’s complete SDH and SONET ON solutions have gained increased recognition due to the lower cost and increased functionality than that offered by the traditional ON providers. Haliplex launched the HPX-300 channel bank multiplexor in mid 2000. The product shook the optical networking (ON) market as it re-defined the price per port for data and voice connectivity to digital transmission networks. The HPX-300 is SMNP managed, incorporates the latest technology, is the lowest cost product available today and is scalable in small granular components.
