WASHINGTON -- The many ways in which cable’s innovative content and distribution platform improve the way consumers live, work, and play will be featured in “My World – Powered by Cable,” a forward-looking, consumer-focused content and technology pavilion at The Cable Show 2010.
The Cable Show 2010, the 59th Annual Convention and International Exposition of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), will take place May 11-13 in Los Angeles.
“My World” will be a 27,000 square-foot exhibit built to resemble a movie studio lot, and it will include homes, schools, parks, and businesses. The special exhibit is being produced by NCTA in cooperation with Time Warner Cable – the cable system operator in Los Angeles – cable programming networks, technology solutions providers, and other select partners.
“With The Cable Show in Los Angeles this year, we have a great opportunity to showcase both our industry’s extraordinary content and how our technology is delivering a vast array of world-class entertainment, innovative new media applications, and critical information to consumers, in ways that are more personal, portable and immersive than ever,” said Kyle McSlarrow, President & CEO, NCTA. “Cable’s broadband technology platform has opened up a whole new world for how we discover, share, and consume content in and out of the home.”
