Fox Finds Its 'Integrity'

NOON -- The New York Times reports. You decide:

  • The premiere of “Our Little Genius,” a new quiz show featuring child contestants that was scheduled to be broadcast on Fox next week after “American Idol,” has been postponed and possibly canceled, Fox announced Thursday, over concerns about the integrity of the show...

Really? Pressuring children to win big bucks for their blindly avaricious parents? Inflating and (we hope!) puncturing their fragile egos for our amusement? Exploiting the li'l darlings to alleviate the stifling boredom of our empty lives? There are "concerns about integrity" here?

  • “We agree there can be no question about the integrity of our shows,” the [Fox network] statement said.

No question. This from those who've brought us America's Trashiest Weddings, The Glutton Bowl, When Chefs Attack... Glenn Beck, anyone?

Integrity.

Really?
