Ethernet Services Scorecard

9:45 AM -- This year’s Ethernet Expo Americas 2009 in New York City, November 3 and 4, will have a strong focus on the latest developments with high-performance Ethernet connectivity services for enterprise and wholesale customers and the next-gen network technologies underpinning these services. As part of Heavy Reading’s ongoing effort to monitor this exciting market, I am happy to announce that we are in the process of updating our popular “Ethernet Services Carrier Scorecard: North America” report, which we plan to release around the time of the Expo. I expect to share highlights of the report at the show.

If you work for a domestic or international operator that delivers Ethernet services in the North American market, I want to be sure to include your company in the report and encourage your marketing team to touch base with me at [email protected]. Our last report covered 122 different service providers, and we expect the updated report will be the most comprehensive examination of Ethernet services portfolios ever published.

We will have two levels of analysis in the Ethernet Services Carrier Scorecard: North America report:

  1. Summary of the Ethernet connectivity services offered by as many operators as we can identify. Below, I have highlighted the type of information we are gathering for each operator. This includes the type of Ethernet connectivity services offered, the geographic reach of the services, and the names of specific services.

  2. Detailed profiles on 10+ leading Ethernet service providers. I plan to provide more in-depth analysis of at least 10 operators delivering services in the U.S. and/or Canada. If your service provider company is on the cutting edge of innovation and you would like to be profiled in the report, please email me so we can discuss this further.

If you have not registered for Ethernet Expo Americas 2009, now is the time to do so. Let your boss know that qualified service provider and cable/MSO employees are eligible for free admission, so there’s really no excuse for missing out on the Ethernet event of the year in NYC.
