PHOENIX, Ariz. -- BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced at the BroadSoft Connections 2006 Executive Users Conference that it has expanded its Premier Access Solutions program to include five leading manufacturers in key access areas. BroadSoft has agreed to collaborate with Covergence, Aastra Technologies Ltd., AudioCodes Ltd., and Adtran, Inc. to build integrated solutions that simplify and resolve the integration challenges service providers face when deploying new services.

BroadSoft's Premier Access Solutions program is collaboration between BroadSoft and a consortium of customer premises equipment (CPE) and access equipment vendors to provide pre-integrated access solutions for hosted VoIP applications. Premier Access Solutions integrate validated partner equipment with the BroadWorks® VoIP application platform and create solution test plans to validate the integration. The solutions include CPE kits that illustrate how to integrate each company's equipment with the corresponding BroadWorks solution and integration guides that simplify deployment of integrated access solutions for common network architectures.

The newly added partners bring a range of competencies to Premier Access Solutions:

  • Covergence's Eclipse(TM) Session Manager provides instant, secure access to real-time session initiation protocol (SIP) services from any location, device or network.

  • Aastra Technologies' family of standards-based IP phones, including integrated wireless VoIP phones, supports a range of VoIP endpoints.

  • AudioCodes gateways enable service providers to connect the BroadWorks platform to existing enterprise PBXs and phones via analog and digital media gateways.

  • Adtran, Inc. facilitates the migration to VoIP with its Total Access 900 Series, which can be used as a SIP gateway to overlay additional services or as a registrar for IP phones. These companies join BroadSoft's previously announced technology partners: Acme Packet; Cisco Systems; Edgewater Networks; Linksys, a division of Cisco; Polycom; and Siemens Communications.

"VoIP is changing the way service providers and enterprises do business," said Scott Wharton, vice president of BroadSoft. "That's why it's critical that we work closely with technology partners to pave the way with access solutions that ease service deployment and let service providers focus on building profitability and customer satisfaction. The expansion of the Premier Access Solutions program enables BroadSoft, together with this group of technology innovators, to synchronize the best products, technology, and industry relationships to work through integration issues and develop truly integrated, off-the-shelf access solutions that will streamline service delivery and speed time to market."
