Kevin Zhang appointed Vice President of Product Development and Engineering

SANTA ROSA & SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Symmorphix, Inc., today announced that Kevin J. Zhang has joined the company as Vice President of Product Development and Engineering. An industry veteran, Zhang brings to Symmorphix more than 15 years of fiber-optic research and development experience. Kevin Zhang joins Symmorphix from Optical Coating Laboratory/JDS Uniphase, where he created and led a group who developed the world's smallest, narrow-band expandable Amplet EDFA (Erbium-doped fiber-optic amplifier). Prior to JDSU, Zhang was a member of the technical staff at Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies Inc, where he led a team in the DWDM component products division.
