Has named a former Marconi exec VP of Sales and a former Lucent exec VP of engineering; cofounder Henry Yeh to be senior VP of engineering

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Quarry Technologies Inc., an innovative supplier of Internet Protocol (IP) service edge switching solutions, announced today that it has named Craig S. Baily to the position of vice president of sales. The company also announced the expansion of its executive technical staff to further respond to increased market demand for its revenue-enabling iQ product family.

Mr. Baily brings more than 17 years of sales and sales management experience to Quarry Technologies. Most recently, Mr. Baily was vice president of sales at Marconi Communications where he managed its broadband switching and routing sales staff focused on both established and emerging service providers worldwide. Prior to Marconi's acquisition of FORE Systems, Mr. Baily headed the service provider sales operations at FORE, where he oversaw 100+ percent year over year growth.

Quarry Technologies also announced a significant strengthening of its technical team, with the addition of Marek Kotelba to the position of vice president of software engineering. Mr. Kotelba recently served as Director, IP Switching at Lucent’s Internetworking Systems (formerly Cascade Communications/Ascend Communications). He brings over 16 years of engineering experience in the data communications and data acquisition industries. Mr. Kotelba co-authored the ATM Forum RMOA-0124 specification for H.323 media transport, and has particular expertise in IP, ATM, MPLS, VPN, VoIP, DiffServ, QoS, and other related technologies.

Additionally, Henry Yeh was promoted to the new position of senior vice president of engineering. Mr. Yeh has been vice president of engineering at Quarry Technologies, where he helped co-found the company in 1998. Prior to joining the company, he was the development and senior program manager of the SuperRouter project at BBN Technologies/GTE Internetworking, and held senior engineering management positions at IBM. Mr. Yeh holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
