'Certainly, we have seen MSN hire people who, for example, formerly worked for Google or in some cases temps...'

5:30 PM -- Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) has it in for Google (Nasdaq: GOOG). And that's likely one of the motives behind the reported talks to combine MSN with AOL in some capacity. Interestingly, Microsoft has been trying to lure folks from Google for months. In February, here's what Google founder Sergey Brin said in response to a question about MSN recruiting Google folks:
So, MSN has been recruiting out of Mountain View... Certainly, we have seen MSN hire people who, for example, formerly worked for Google or in some cases temps. I don't know if there have been ever been full-time people who have switched to MSN, but this is for the Seattle -- or at least I guess I didn't even bother asking which office. But we have not seen a significant effect. These are single -- you know, there's a handful of examples and as I said, all I'm aware of is former employees, not ones who had been current employees.
