9:30 AM -- San Jose's airport is a source of frustration for many a Valley traveler, because of its small size and its curfew.

One way around the curfew part is to just be loud, abrasive, and powerful. (We're talking about you, not the airplane.) It worked for Larry Ellison, who got a personal exemption from the curfew in 2001.

A cooler alternative: Land at Moffett Field.

They let you do that, apparently, but you have to be able to help NASA with research projects.

And that's how the Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) boys got permission to park their 767 at Moffett, a deal that got revealed yesterday. The price: $1.3 million a year.
