AT&T Investigates NYC Phone Outages

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) customers aren't able to make and receive calls in the New York metro area -- and no one knows why (yet).

The voice outages aren't affecting data usage and the carrier has been investigating the problem for several hours this morning.

As news media are reporting the outage, there is nothing further on AT&T's media news website and its Twitter account is touting the use of GPS in helping mobile billboard companies.

We will keep you posted via this message board as more details come in.
