Handheld Fiber Break Locator can pinpoint a break up to 94 miles away

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A)today introduced its Fiber Break Locator, a light and easy-to-use handhelddevice for the quick location of faults in fiber-optic networks.The Agilent Fiber Break Locator requires little training and allowsmaintenance technicians to view the optical distance to the break up to 150km (94 miles) away in a fiber network, locate high insertion losses ofdamaged connectors, and display the distance of these accordingly. Abright, clear color display provides highly enhanced readability bothindoors and outdoors.
