InfiniRoute Offers PeeringOctober 24, 2005 | Post a comment
no ratings PRINCETON, N.J. -- InfiniRoute Networks, Inc., the leading provider of fully managed Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) peering services for wireline and wireless carriers worldwide, today announced its new VoIP Direct(TM) managed VoIP peering service. This service offers Tier 1 carriers PSTN-quality connections to carriers in emerging global markets, including such high-growth regions as Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Eastern Europe. InfiniRoute VoIP Direct provides transparent VoIP peering via a single aggregated connection that establishes a VoIP peering community and facilitates direct interconnections to high-growth traffic regions worldwide. The direct connection dramatically reduces the number of call handoffs and significantly improves quality compared with other peering and 'gray route' providers, which hand off calls across multiple networks. The new service employs the latest releases of InfiniRoute's patent-pending Routing and VoIP Optimization Engines, which ensure that VoIP traffic over the public Internet is equal to or better than the existing PSTN. "The reputation of Tier 1 carriers is based on the high quality of their voice services, so they're reluctant to enter into VoIP peering relationships that will compromise that quality," said Gary Tauss, chief executive officer (CEO) of InfiniRoute. "With our VoIP Direct service, carriers don't have to compromise; they can establish 'virtual bilateral' interconnections that are equivalent to their existing one-to-one bilateral agreements. We back VoIP Direct with industry-leading SLAs, delivering more calls of longer duration with no feature loss, which translates to higher revenues per user. VoIP Direct provides the highest-quality voice connections for the lowest total cost, a combination that gives VoIP peering the potential to move from a cost-saving service to a revenue generator."
