Carriers Join Nexagent ProgramNovember 15, 2004 | Post a comment
no ratings LONDON -- Nexagent today announced the launch of its Carrier Supply Co-marketing Programme and the participation of an initial group of fourteen carriers including BtNAccess, CESKY TELECOM, China Telecom USA, Claranet, Comstar, Energis, Fibernet, FLAG Telecom, Interoute, sunrise, Telefónica UK, THUS, Uni2 and Versatel. Through participation in this programme, carriers will immediately benefit from Nexagent promoting their services to their Solution Providers through a wide spectrum of joint sales and marketing initiatives. These activities are expected to lead to valuable new revenue streams for the carriers from contributing to the Solution Provider’s multi-carrier services. Participant carriers in the Programme are able to supply MPLS-based IP-VPN and Ethernet services to Nexagent’s Solution Providers as components of multi-carrier IP-VPNs for enterprise customers. Solutions Providers are either, global systems integrators creating and managing multi-carrier IP-VPNs for their enterprise customers, or global carriers wishing to extend the geographic reach of their own MPLS IP-VPN service footprint. Over a period of four years, Nexagent has developed the first Multicarrier VPN Lifecycle Management System, a combination of unified data model, process maps, patent pending software and multi-lateral peering architecture. The Nexagent System is used by global Solution Providers to create ‘Network Service Grids’, the combination of national, regional and global carriers interconnected by Multilateral Peering Points in key cities around the world. This makes it possible for Nexagent’s Solution Partners to create seamless multi-carrier wide area networks (WANs) for their enterprise customers with unprecedented ease. Solution Providers then utilise the Nexagent System’s Lifecycle Management software and methodology to simplify and automate the design, implementation and monitoring of multi-carrier IP-VPNs. Chris Gare, co-founder of Nexagent and VP of Service Grid Development, said: “I am delighted that such a large number of carriers have already signed up to the Carrier Supply Marketing Programme. These carriers will play an important role in helping Nexagent’s Solution Providers deliver cost effective multi-carrier MPLS-based IP-VPNs with global reach and national density, thereby addressing one of the most significant challenges in the telecommunications industry in 2004. Participating carriers have clearly demonstrated that they recognise the benefit of multi-carrier IP-VPNs, and they are at the forefront of the telecommunications industry in helping enterprises solve their global wide area network challenges.”
