BOSTON -- Zoom Telephonics, Inc. (otcqb:ZMTP) ("Zoom") announced today that two Zoom cable modems have been certified by Time Warner Cable for its new "Buy Your Personal Internet Modem" program. These two modems have been tested by Time Warner Cable and certified for all five Time Warner Cable Internet Services -- Extreme, Ultimate, Lite, Basic, and Standard. When a TWC customer uses one of these cable modems, the customer avoids the TWC leasing fee -- $3.95 per month for a basic cable modem and $9.90 per month for a wireless cable modem/router.

Both the Model 5350 and the model 5341J are DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems delivering the fastest available speeds for data over cable. The Model 5350 adds an integrated 300 Mbps wireless-N router, firewall security and a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch. The Model 5341J modem has an estimated retail of $89 and the Model 5350 modem/router has an estimated retail of $129.

Zoom's cable modems are available at Best Buy, Micro Center, Office Depot, Staples, and other leading retailers.
