Huawei Wins 3 UK Deal

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. -- Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology ("ICT") solutions provider, today announced it has signed a managed services agreement with Three UK. Under the agreement Huawei will deliver service management and operations for Three's core network in the UK, the transport network and the ICT applications. Huawei has selected TechMahindra as its ICT Partner to deliver the ICT applications management. Tech Mahindra, is a leading global system integrator, specialist provider of solutions and services to the telecommunications industry.

The agreement between Three and Huawei will see a number of permanent roles transfer to work for Huawei's managed services business and Tech Mahindra for the ICT applications management. The terms and conditions of these employees will be protected under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (known as "TUPE").
