Swedish wireless access and policy management specialist Aptilo has landed a significant Wi-Fi access equipment deal with TIM Brasil . The operator is preparing for the data deluge that will come when Brazil hosts the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and Olympic Games in 2016 by deploying thousands of public Wi-Fi access points that can be used for mobile data offload as well as wireless Internet access in areas under-served by fixed lines. Google is close to a deal on a new U.K. headquarters at London's King's Cross, reports the Daily Telegraph. The search giant currently has two London offices, one in Soho and the other in Victoria, but hopes to be out of those and into the new 700,000 sq. ft. HQ in 2015.
