Photos: Cisco Live in San Diego

Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) holds a few Cisco Live customer conferences each year, but the U.S. version is the biggest. This year it came to San Diego and attracted a record 17,000 people.

Just to set expectations: We didn't stay for the Weezer concert Wednesday night. But we did get pictures of bikers, boothgoers and beer -- and quite a few shots of CEO John Chambers.

We got a real answer to the rhetorical question about the Cisco sign

I figured they just kept it in storage, which is true, but it's  a special events storage. So there ya go:

"...There are companies that specialize in handling these kinds of displays. Basically we just tell them when and where we want banners, booths, and other corporate logo items and they take care of it. Things that can be reused go into a warehouse.

I imagine a “Raiders of the Lost Ark” style warehouse somewhere with all kinds of corporate brand items from different companies.  It’s a large (and not inexpensive) business.

Spoon is one example, I’m sure there are others. http://www.spoonevents.com/"
