EuroProfile: Momac

Momac , a Dutch Service Provider Information Technology (SPIT) specialist formed just over a decade ago, has developed software systems dedicated to what is now one of the hottest topics in the communications services sector -- customer experience management (CEM). (See Time for a New Experience, The SPIT Manifesto 2.0 and CEM Set for Center Stage.)

Momac's systems, which sit between a carrier's OSS/BSS platforms and its customers, enable mobile operators to create on-device user interfaces (either browser- or native OS-based) that provide a direct connection between mobile service providers and their customers.

Its flagship product is mVolve, a cloud-based platform that allows operators and MVNOs to manage multi-screen customer engagement from a single set of tools. An example of how this works once deployed can be found at Belgian operator Mobistar SA . (See Mobistar Uses Momac's SPIT System.)

Currently operational in 27 countries, Momac recently signaled its desire to extend into South America with the launch of a fourth U.S. office, in Boca Raton, Fla. (See Mobistar Uses Momac's SPIT System.)

And its partnership with Nokia Siemens Networks , which has CEM as one of its three focus areas, should also help it extend its reach beyond Europe, where it has a small but impressive list of existing customers. (See Analysts: NSN Focus Makes Sense.)

Check out some key details about Momac below and make what you will of the CEO's choice of favorite movies: The selection of the "original" Star Wars could kick off a message board debate; while the choice of Goodfellas is encouraging from a taste perspective, yet suggests a certain edge. You may want to think twice before playing cards with Mr. Careem....
