MWC 2012 Photos: AlcaLu Booth Tour

BARCELONA -- Mobile World Congress 2012 -- With just 600 seconds to show off three key products on display at MWC, what would you expect the team at Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) to line up for a journalist and photographer?

You're about to find out. AlcaLu was one of six mobile network equipment vendors we visited at this year's MWC and we gave them all the exact same challenge: Show us your three market leading/cutting edge/most important products, and tell us about them in just 10 minutes.

With the tour of the Ericsson AB (Nasdaq: ERIC) hall completed -- see MWC 2012 Photos: Ericsson Booth Tour -- we headed next door to another vast expanse of square meterage where the AlcaLu team was meeting, greeting and showing its wares.

The idea of the exercise is to determine what an average visitor might be shown if they were trying to get a sense for what the major mobile vendors are focused on right now. All the companies were given the exact same advance brief, treatment and opportunity, with varying results.

So here's what we were shown chez AlcaLu, with the overall grade -- based on perceived performance, relevance and other factors (some rather subjective) -- provided with the final picture caption.
