Products in this recap are, as ever, classified into a small number of fairly broad categories. Click on each category name to go to the corresponding page of new product information:
Broadband/Cable Access & Applications: The wireline access network and associated customer premises and applications. Includes DSL, GPON, WDM-PON, outside plant and tools, and some CPE such as demarcation devices and access gateways/devices for homes or businesses. Also cable technology, STBs, IPTV, and home networking systems or applications, and miscellaneous business equipment/applications relevant to access.
Components & Devices: The fundamental elements from which telecom equipment is made. These include: (1) optical elements, such as lasers, modulators, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Mirrors, detectors, splitters, amplifiers, fibers, and couplers; (2) electronic elements, such as RF amplifiers, modulators/demodulators and filters, connectors, ASICs, FPGAs, processors, DSPs, AdvancedTCA (ATCA) boards and boxes, and backplane switches; (3) software elements, such as embedded protocol stacks and operating systems.
Wireless Infrastructure: Covers two main areas: (1) the radio aspects of fixed or mobile wireless networks, including base stations, towers, antennas, satellite systems, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint systems; (2) telecom systems and equipment dedicated specifically for use in wireless infrastructures, such as LTE backhaul systems, and integrated wireless solutions.
