Stena Deal for Reliance Globalcom

LONDON -- Reliance Globalcom, the leading global provider of managed network and communication services for multinational enterprises, carriers and consumers, today announced a contract extension with Stena Line IT Services – the global IT service arm of transport and travel operator Stena Line – to manage the distribution of live CCTV footage across the ferry operator’s European network.

The new two-year deal, worth over $3.5 million, is an extension of an April 2007 partnership and will deliver high-bandwidth Ethernet services to key port locations across Scandinavia and Poland, enabling real-time CCTV security camera footage from all sites to be continually transmitted and monitored remotely. By utilising dedicated Ethernet connectivity from best cost local suppliers, all managed through a single, consistent SLA, Stena Line realised dramatic cost savings by not having to deploy any on-site security personnel, but still remained entirely compliant.
