Pixelmetrix Unveils IPTV TesterOctober 20, 2006 | Post a comment
no ratings SINGAPORE -- Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television networks, has expanded its repertoire of IPTV service validation systems with the IPTV Test Stream Generator, DVStorIP-Gen. The DVStorIP-Gen is a high-performance, cost-effective tool for the evaluation, compliance testing and verification of networks, monitoring and equipment analysis. The DVStorIP-Gen supports SPTS (single-program transport stream) and MPTS (multiple-program transport stream) generation, as well as UDP and RTP streaming. Each generated transport stream can be forwarded to up to 100 target IP destinations, identified by the IP address and port number. Danny Wilson, President and CEO of Pixelmetrix Corporation elaborated, “Our DVStorIP-Gen can generate up to seven unique transport streams simultaneously. Plus the fact that it can generate up to 900Mbps of IPTV traffic, makes it an efficient solution for IPTV broadcasters as well as test and monitoring equipment and network providers.” Amongst its other unique features, the DVStorIP-Gen also allows restamping of continuity count and insertion of PCR discontinuity flag during transport stream loopback for error-free streaming. The DVStorIP-Gen is a hard-disk based system that allows non-stop simultaneous recording of multiple channels of transmitted IP video. It allows broadcasters using Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) to verify that a specific transmission actually occurred at a given time. With DVStorIP-Gen, not only legal compliance can be sustained, but disputes can also be resolved promptly through transmission records check.
